• The title ‘Isai Nilavu' conferred on A.V. Ramanan by Cleopatra Fine Arts, presented by the late Poet Laureate Kannadasan on January 15, 1975
• ‘For the sake of Honour Award' for the year 1993-94, awarded to A.V. Ramanan by the Rotary Club of Chennapatna presented by Smt. M S Subbulakshmi and Sri Sadasivam,
• The prestigious ‘Kalaimamani' award to Ramanan and Uma from the Government of Tamil Nadu in the year 1997 presented by Kalaignar M Karunanidhi and the then Governor Ms. Fathima Beevi,
• The ‘Seva Ratna Award' to A.V. Ramanan by the Centenarian Trust in 1998, presented by Sri Shanker Dayal Sharma, Former President of India
• “Best Female Singer' awarded to Uma Ramanan by The Indian Film News, Singapore , in the year 1991.
